INHERITANCE

It is decreed that when death approaches, those of you that leave wealth shall bequeath (it) to parents and kindred. This is a duty incumbent on the righteous.

Sura: 2, Ayat: 180.

He that alters that (the will) after hearing it shall be accountable for his crime. Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

He that suspects an error or an injustice on the part of a testator and brings about a settlement among the parties incurs no guilt. Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

Sura: 2, Ayat: 181-182.

Men shall have a share in what their parents and kinsmen leave; and women shall have a share in what their parents and kinsmen leave; whether it be little or much, it is legally theirs.

Sura: 4, Ayat: 7.

If relatives, orphans, or needy men are present at the division of an inheritance, give than, too, a share of it, and speak to them in kind words.

Sura: 4, Ayat: 8.

Let those (disposing of an estate) have the same fear in their minds as they would have for their own if they had left a helpless family behind: Let them fear God, and speak words of appropriate (comfort).
Those who unjustly eat up the property of orphans, eat up a Fire into their own bodies: they will soon be enduring a blazing Fire!

Sura: 4, Ayat: 9-10.

Allah has thus enjoined you concerning your children:
A male shall inherit twice as much as a female. If there be more than two girls, they shall have two-thirds of the inheritance; but if there be one only, she shall inherit the half. Parents shall inherit a sixth each, if the deceased has a child; but if he has no children and his parents be his heirs, his mother shall have a third. If he has brothers, his mother shall have a sixth after payment of any bequest he may have bequeathed, or debt.
You know not whether your parents or your children are more beneficial to you. But this is the law of Allah; He is Wise and All-Knowing.

Sura: 4, Ayat: 11.

You shall inherit the half of what your wives leave if they die childless. If they leave children, a quarter of what they leave shall be yours after payment of any bequest they may have bequeathed or debt.
Your wives shall inherit one quarter of what you leave if you die childless.
If you leave children, they shall inherit one eighth, after payment of any bequest you may have bequeathed, or debt.
If a man or a woman leave neither children nor parents and have a brother or a sister, they shall each inherit one-sixth. If there be more, they shall equally share the third of the estate, after payment of any bequest that may have been bequeathed or debt without prejudice (to the rights of the heirs).
This is a commandment from Allah. He is Gracious and All-Knowing.

Sura: 4, Ayat: 12.

Such are the bounds set by Allah. He that obeys Allah and His Apostle shall dwell forever in gardens watered by running streams. That is the supreme triumph.

Sura: 4, Ayat: 13.

But he that disobeys Allah and His Apostle and transgresses His bounds, shall be cast into fire and shall abide in it forever. A shameful punishment awaits him.

Sura: 4, Ayat: 14.

0 you who believe! You are forbidden to inherit women against their will. Nor should you treat them with harshness, that you may take away part of the dower you have given them, - except where they have been guilty of open lewdness; on the contrary live with them on a footing of kindness and equity.
If you take a dislike to them it may be that you dislike a thing, and God brings about through it a great deal of good.

Sura: 4, Ayat: 19.

And unto everyone have We appointed heirs to what he may leave behind: parents, and near kinsfolk, and those to whom you have pledged your troth: give them, therefore, their share. Behold, God is indeed a witness unto everything.

Sura: 4, Ayat: 33.

They ask you for a legal decision. Say: God directs (thus) about those who leave no descendants or ascendants as heirs.
If it is a man that dies, leaving a sister but no child, she shall have the inheritance:
If (such a deceased was) a woman, who left no child, her brother takes her inheritance:
if there are two sisters, they shall have two-thirds of the inheritance (between them):
if there are brothers and sisters, (they share), the male having twice the share of the females. Thus does God make clear to you (His law), lest you err. And God has knowledge of all things.

Sura: 4, Ayat: 176.

Those who believed, and adopted exile, and fought for the Faith, with their property and their persons in the cause of God, as well as those who gave (them) asylum and aid, - these are (all) friends and protectors, one of another. As to those who believed but came not into exile, you owe no duty of protection to them until they come into exile;
but if they seek your aid in religion, it is your duty to help them, except against a people with whom you have a treaty of mutual alliance And (remember) God sees all that you do.

Sura: 8, Ayat: 72.

Those who believe, and adopt exile, and fight for the Faith, in the cause of God, as well as those who give (them) asylum and aid, - these are (all) in very truth the believers:
For them is the forgiveness of sins and a provision most generous. And those who accept Faith subsequently, and adopt exile, and fight for the Faith in your company, - they are of you.
But kindred by blood have prior rights against each other in the Book of God. Verily God is well acquainted with all things.

Sura: 8, Ayat: 74-75.

The Prophet is closer to the believers than their own selves, and his wives are their mothers. Blood-relations are closer to one another, in the Decree of God, than (the Brotherhood of) believers and muhajirs:
Nevertheless do you what is just to your closest friends: such is the writing in the Decree (of God).

Sura: 33, Ayat: 6.

No! But you show no kindness to the orphan, nor do you urge one another to feed the poor. Greedily you lay your hands on the inheritance of the others and you love riches with all your hearts.

Sura: 89, Ayat: 17-20.

ADOPTEDCHILDREN

God has not made for any man two hearts in his (one) body: nor has He made your wives whom you divorce by Zibar as your mothers: nor has He made your adopted sons your sons. Such is (only) your (manner of) speech by your mouths. But God tells (you) the Truth, and He shows the (right) Way.

Sura: 33, Ayat: 4.

Name your adopted sons after their fathers; that is more just in the sight of Allah. If you do not know their fathers, regard them as your brothers in the faith and as your cousins. Your (unintentional) mistakes shall be forgiven, but not your deliberate errors. Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

Sura: 33, Ayat: 5.

Behold! you did say to one who had received the grace of God and your favour:
'Retain you (in wedlock) your wife, and fear God. But you did hide in your heart that which God was about to make manifest:
you did fear the people, but it is more fitting that you should fear God. Then when Zaid had dissolved (his marriage) with her, with the necessary (formality), We joined her in marriage to you:
in order that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the Believers in (the matter of) marriage with the wives of their adopted sons, when the latter have dissolved with the necessary (formality) (their marriage) with them. And God's command must be fulfilled.

Sura: 33, Ayat: 37.

WILL

It is decreed that when death approaches, those of you that leave wealth shall bequeath it equitably to parents and kindred. This is a duty incumbent on the righteous.

Sura: 2, Ayat: 180.

He that alters that (the will) after hearing it shall be accountable for his crime. Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

Sura: 2, Ayat: 181.

He that suspects an error or an injustice on the part of a testator and brings about a settlement among the parties incurs no guilt. Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

Sura: 2, Ayat: 182.

Those of you who die and leave widows should bequeath for their widows a year's maintenance and residence; but if they leave (the residence), there is no blame on you for what they do with themselves, provided it is reasonable. And God is Exalted in Power, Wise.

Sura: 2, Ayat: 240.

0 you who believe! When death approaches any of you, (take) witnesses among yourselves when making bequests, - two just men of your own (brotherhood) or others from outside if you are journeying through the earth, and the chance of death befalls you (thus).
If you doubt (their truth), detain them both after prayer, and let them both swear by God: 'We wish not in this for any worldly gain, even though the (beneficiary) be our near relation: we shall hide not the evidence before God: if we do, then behold! the sin be upon us!'

Sura: 5, Ayat: 106.

But if it gets known that these two were guilty of the sin (of perjury), let two others stand forth in their places, - nearest in kin from among those who claim a lawful right: let them swear by God: "We affirm that our witness is truer than that of those two, and that we have not trespassed (beyond the truth): if we did, behold!, the wrong be upon us!"

Sura: 5, Ayat: 107.

That is most suitable: that they may give the evidence in its true nature and shape, or else they would fear that other oaths would be taken after their oaths. But fear God, and listen (to His counsel): for God guides not a rebellious people:
