PUNISHMENT FOR ADULTERY

If any of your women commit fornication, call in four witnesses from among yourselves against them; if they testify to their guilt, confine them to their houses till death overtakes them or till Allah finds another way for them.

Sura: 4, Ayat: 15.

If two (men or man or woman) among you commit it punish them both. If they repent and mend their ways, leave them alone. Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

Sura: 4, Ayat: 16.

0 you who believe! You are forbidden to inherit women against their will.
Nor should you treat them with harshness, that you may take away part of the dower you have given them, - except where they have been guilty of open lewdness; on the contrary live with them on a footing of kindness and equity. If you take a dislike to them it may be that you dislike a thing, and God brings about through it a great deal of good.

Sura: 4, Ayat: 19.

If anyone of you cannot afford to marry free believing women (let him marry) from among the owned (slave) believing women. Allah best knows your faith: you are all alike (in terms of religion). Marry them with the permission of their masters and give them their dowry in all justice, provided they are honourable and chaste and have not entertained other men. If after marriage they commit adultery, they shall suffer half the penalty inflicted upon free adulteresses. Such is the law for those of you who fear to commit sin: but if you abstain, it will be better for you. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

Sura: 4, Ayat: 25.

Say: "Come, I will rehearse what God has (really) prohibited you from":...
come not nigh to shameful deeds, whether open or secret.

Sura: 6, Ayat: 151.

Your Lord has decreed.... nor come nigh to adultery: for it is a shameful (deed) and an evil, opening the road (to other evils).

Sura: 17, Ayat: 23-32.

The Believers must (eventually) win through,...who abstain from sex, except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (one's own slave girls) whom their right hands possess, for (in their case) they are free from blame, but those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors.

Sura: 23, Ayat: 1 .... 5-7.

This is a sura (chapter) which We have revealed and sanctioned, proclaiming in it clear revelations, so that you may take heed.
The adulterer and the adulteress shall each be given a hundred lashes. Let no pity for them detain you from obedience to Allah, if you truly believe in Allah and the Last Day; and let their punishment be witnessed by a number of believers.

Sura: 24, Ayat: 1-2.

The adulterer may marry only an adulteress or an idolatress; and the adulteress may marry only an adulterer or an idolater. True believers are forbidden such (marriages).

Sura: 24, Ayat: 3.

And those who launch a charge against chaste women, and produce not four witnesses (to support their allegations), -flog them with eighty stripes; and reject their evidence ever after: for such men are wicked transgressors; unless they repent thereafter and mend (their conduct), for God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Sura: 24, Ayat: 4-5.

Women impure are for men impure, and men impure are for women impure and women of purity are for men of purity, and men of purity are for women of purity: these are not affected by what people say: For them there is forgiveness, and a provision honourable.

Sura: 24, Ayat: 26.

And as for those who are unable to marry, let them live in continence until God grants them sufficiency out of His bounty.
And if any of those whom you rightfully possess desire (to obtain) a deed of freedom, write it out for them if you are aware of any good in them: and give them (their share) of the wealth of God which He has given you.
And do not, in order to gain some of the fleeting pleasures of this worldly life, coerce your (slave) maidens into whoredom if they happen to be desirous of marriage; and if anyone should coerce them, then, verily, after they have been compelled (to submit in their helplessness), God will be much forgiving, a dispenser of grace!

Sura: 24, Ayat: 33.

And the servants of (God) most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, "peace!"; ... those who invoke not, with God, any other god, nor slay such life as God has made sacred, except for just cause, nor commit fornication;
and any that does this (not only meets punishment (but) the Penalty on the Day of Judgement will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy, unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds, for God will change the evil of such persons into good, and God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Sura: 25, Ayat: 63 ... 68-70.

Truly man was created very impatient fretful when evil touches him; and niggardly when good reaches him; not so those devoted to Prayer;... and those who guard their chastity, except with their wives and the (captives) whom their right hands possess, for (then) they are not to be blamed, but those who trespass beyond this are transgressors.

Sura: 70, Ayat: 19-22 ... 29-31.

PROHIBITION OF SODOMY

Say: "Come, I will rehearse what God has (really) prohibited you from":... come not nigh to shameful deeds, whether open or secret.

Sura: 6, Ayat: 151.

We also (sent) Lut: He said to his people: 'Do you commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you?
"For you practise your lusts on men in preference to women: you are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds.'

Sura: 7, Ayat: 80-81.

"Must you, of all people (lustfully) approach men, keeping yourselves aloof from all the (lawful) spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!"

Sura: 26, Ayat: 165-166.

(We also sent) Lut (as an apostle): behold He said to his people, "Do you do what is shameful though you see (its iniquity)?
Would you really approach men in your lusts rather than women? Nay, you are a people (grossly) ignorant!

Sura: 27, Ayat: 54-55.

and reject their evidence ever after; for such men are wicked transgressors;
unless they repent thereafter and mend (their conduct); for God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Sura: 24, Ayat: 4-5.

And those who accuse their wives and have no witnesses except themselves, let each of them testify by swearing four times by Allah that his charge is true, calling down in the fifth time upon himself the curse of Allah if he is lying. SLANDER OF ADULTERY AGAINST ONE'S WIFE

And those who accuse their wives and have no witnesses except themselves, let each of them testify by swearing four times by Allah that his charge is true, calling down in the fifth time upon himself the curse of Allah if he is lying. But they shall spare her the punishment if she swears four times by Allah that his charge is false and calls down Allah's wrath upon herself if it be true.
If it were not for Allah's grace and mercy on you and that He is Forgiving and Wise (He would immediately uncover your sins and hasten your punishment).

Sura: 24, Ayat: 6-10.
